Delly was sitting in the infirmary part of District Thirteen, a place she didn’t even know existed until now. It had been a frantic couple of hours, the bombing had completely caused all sound to cease in her ears, running away from the extreme bright lights of the explosions and amongst the screams and cries, she had managed to stay alive. Not only that, but her brother was here, safe, too. A sigh dropped from her mouth, relieved to some degree but still tense over everything that happened. Tears had spilled and dried, eyes puffed red as she tiredly pulled the dull, grey shirt over herself.
"Gale?" She couldn’t believe her eyes when she finally saw someone she knew; they didn’t know each other well, maybe talked on the one occasion but it was impossible not to know him when most of her friends talked about him half of the time. "Do you know where my parents are?" she asked with a shaky voice.
"I’m sorry, Delly," he whispered under his breath. "District Twelve is gone. And your parents, too."
